Yesterday, for the second time in as many weeks, I had the pleasure of joining one of our medical communications teams on stage to pick up an award at this year’s Communiqué Awards. We won the award for Best Medical Communications via Meetings or Congresses, the fourth time we have won this accolade since 2006.
Last week I was with our creative team at the IPA Best of Health Awards where we celebrated winning two silver and five bronze awards for our own promotional campaigns. Well, if you can’t promote yourself competently, how can clients trust that you will bring the right approach to their challenges?
The thread that connects us all across creative, medical communications, PR and digital is the desire to be the very best that we can be, and to make our agency the place where we can all do the best work of our careers. Awards aren’t the be-all and end-all – much of what we do is quietly unsung but effective – but I think they do recognise that little bit of magic that happens when a great team of people is able to deliver great work for clients who enable it to happen. It makes me incredibly proud when our work is recognised by our industry peers (and it’s always good to have a reason to open the champagne!). So, it’s been a really good couple of weeks – with more to come we hope!
